Hamilton: I'm not a killer
LEWIS HAMILTON hit back at claims he is a dangerous driver and said: I’m no track killer.
The British ace, who can wrap up the championship in tomorrow’s Chinese Grand Prix, was warned by Red Bull rival Mark Webber to cool it or risk killing someone.
And Renault boss Flavio Briatore claimed he should be in the Guinness Book of World Records for blowing last year’s F1 title.
But Hamilton said: “I’m not a dangerous driver. I don’t clash with people so I can’t be that aggressive.
“I know people have made comments. It’s a shame they all think that way, But my driving is why I’m here and why I’m leading the championship. I do my talking on the track.”
Hamilton, 23, will become the youngest champion if he scores six more points than Ferrari foe Felipe Massa and BMW’s Robert Kubica fails to win.
And if he does clinch the title it will be 50 years to the day since Mike Hawthorn became the first British champ.
But Briatore said: “To lose it with a 17-point lead like he did is worthy of the Guinness Book of World Records. He’s not learned anything and should be told he’s an F1 driver, not a martian.”
